I had a lot of fun with this assignment. As an art teacher, the classroom possibilities for these visual programs are endless.
The Animoto program is awesome! I could have the kids create slideshows of their art to be used as digital portfolios. I could also use it to continuously play during an Open House, to show parents what kinds of things we do in art.
The motivational poster program was really cool. I could use this in a critique exercise. Students could look at famous artworks and decide on one word that they feel describes it best. This would also be great to do with their own work.
I found that the tools were very user friendly, but pretty time consuming. I spent hours putting together my Animoto slide show.
Your animoto slide show was great! Hawaii is so full of wonder and it looks like your trip was wonderful. The music you chose fit so well too! I'm worried about how I'm going to be able to do this tool. Yikes!
